Plastic Injection Setup & Operator

Job Description

Local manufacturer seeking experienced Plastic Injection Setup & Operation team member. Must have experience setting up vertical and horizontal molding machines. Inspect stock, verify measurements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Change 3-piece shuttle molds in 3-oz. or 15 oz. molding machines (Vertical)

  • Setup and run horizontal molding machines

  • Set safety switches

  • Change heat controllers to proper settings, adjust inject feed, adjust back pressure, set times

  • Setup front of machine with tables, platforms, boxes, parts, etc.

  • Fill hopper with correct plastic, clean grinder

  • Ensure operator has the proper tools

  • Start up machine, making adjustments as necessary to produce quality parts

  • Inspect stock to eliminate defects

  • Verify dimensions of molded pieces to ensure conformity

Shipping Specialist + Delivery Driver

Job Description

Join a small, family-oriented company just north of Jackson, MI, as a shipping specialist. Driver's License required, as this position may involve some local delivery. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Shipping Supervisor to determine daily goals

Wire Machine Operator / Set-up

Job Description:

Set up and operate machines that automatically and manually cut, straighten, and chop wire used in cable assemblies

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Study work schedule of cut lengths, and plan sequence of operations 

  • Lift wire spools manually or using a hoist, and position and secure it to a holding device such as the flash cutter, wire cutter or swag 

  • Start machine and observe operation to detect machine malfunction 

  • Select cut lengths and speeds for each machine  

  • Place boxes under ejection roll or manually remove and bundle or box the cut, stripped, and marked wire 

  • Examine wire for conformance to specifications and remove defective pieces 

  • Observe automatic counter or count finished pieces, and record data on completion tickets or output tickets    

  • Replace dull or broken cutting or stripping blades. 

  • Maintain the machines, such as oiling, greasing and making minor adjustments, when needed

Powder Coater

Job Description

Prepare and powder coat frames and panels of chillers and heat-exchanger packages.  Work as part of a team.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Understand and adhere to OSHA regulations in regards to handling, using and storing paint

  • Wear and properly care for respirator and participate in annual respirator training

  • Change paint booth filters per maintenance schedule

  • Prepare units for painting, i.e. cleaning, masking units

  • Paint units according to bill of material specifications

  • Troubleshoot powder coat process as issues arise

  • Perform required maintenance on paint gun and related equipment, i.e. change inlet and outlet tubes inside gun, change o-rings as required

  • Scrape waste powder from bottom of filters using empty powder coat boxes

  • Safely and properly operate a forklift and/or other lift equipment

  • Observe all company rules and policies, i.e. safety, attendance

  • Participate and work in a team atmosphere

  • Maintain high productivity and quality workmanship

  • Check the parts against the bill of material to confirm that all parts are received and correct; check serial numbers, voltage, phase, etc.

  • Safely operate forklift and/or other lift equipment

  • Assembles coils

  • Mounts fans

  • Cuts and installs insulation

  • Leak check lines and component connections

  • Accurately complete checklist

  • Observe all company rules and policies, i.e. safety, 5S, attendance

  • Reads complex blueprints, bill of materials and other specifications to determine product requirements

  • Assemble cutting tools in tool holders and position in machine spindles as specified using hand tools or insert cutting tools

  • Selects fixtures, part holding, and tooling to machine parts as necessary
