Production Support

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities may include any or all of the following:

  1. Load/unload parts from and into appropriate containers in compliance with route card instructions by performing stacking, pack-back, belt monitoring, and staging of production jobs to ensure a smooth work flow
  2. Perform special processing and sorting of parts in compliance with route card instructions
  3. Monitor furnace operations including, but not limited to, induction and atmosphere furnaces, to ensure parts are properly feeding and processed in accordance with route card instructions, and to avoid foreign material contamination
  4. Maintain accurate account of production information
  5. Keep work area clean
  6. Use safe work practices, and alert management to unsafe conditions
  7. Assist Quality Inspectors in the collection of quality samples from production or sample loads
  8. Provide oversight for Xcel Staffing personnel

Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  1. Performa all duties in a professional, productive manner, with emphasis on IST's Quality Policy
  2. High School Diploma/GED or at least 6 months of experience in a related field
  3. Shift Driver must possess a Chauffer's License and be willing and able to re-certify to a Class B Certified Drivers License (CDL) should the vehicle require such a CDL
  4. May be require dot work extra hours (come in early or stay over late), and weekends
  5. Able to perform independently with minimal supervision
  6. Understand the principles of heat treating steel, and the processes used at IST, including SPC
  7. Is skillful in the operation of typically used related tools, materials, and equipment such as: parts washer, hoists, forklift, conveyors, lift tables, loaders, sweepers; other equipment as necessary for fulfillment of these duties and responsibilities
  8. Ability to effectively communicate

Atmosphere Department- Heat Treater

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities may include any or all of the following:

Perform all duties in a professional, productive manner, with emphasis on our Quality Policy and customer requirements as necessary.
1. Routine equipment set-up, start-up, shut down, and manually operate and adjust all assigned equipment
2. Recognize equipment malfunctions and take appropriate action
3. Monitor equipment and use additives as necessary
4. Load/unload parts in appropriate containers for treating in compliance with route card
5. Process parts for treating in compliance with route card
6. Maintain accurate account of production information
7. Maintain production schedule
8. Perform-in-process inspection of parts
9. Perform lot control procedure and implement required tagging procedure
10. Keep work area clean
11. Use safe work practices
12. Monitor work of General Heat Treaters and temporary service personnel
13. Lead, direct and train production personnel in department as necessary and appropriate

Induction Department- Heat Treater

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities include the following:

Perform all duties in a professional, productive manner, with emphasis on our Quality
Policy and customer requirements as necessary.

Customer Service Department
Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities include the following:
1. Load/unload parts from trucks
2. Maintain accurate account of parts and generate route cards
3. Maintain lot control and troubleshoot lot information
4. Operate the scales, calculate unit, gross and net weights
5. Identify customers’ containers and verify special packaging requirements
6. Generate, schedule and maintain Advance Shipping Notices
7. Sign for deliveries
8. Keep work area clean
9. Use safe work practices

Quality Assurance Inspector

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities include the following:

Perform all duties in a professional, productive manner, with emphasis on our Quality
Policy and customer requirements as necessary.
1. Perform basic dimensional measurements
2. Perform hardness testing and measure case depths
3. Perform inspection of parts, both in process and after treatment(s) in compliance with route card
4. Make recommendations to production personnel regarding process changes to maintain quality requirements
5. Maintain accurate account of inspection information
6. Keep work area clean
7. Use safe work practices
8. Make dispositions on work performed in plant

Plant & Equipment Service Department- Maintenance Personnel Level 1

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities include the following:

Perform all duties in a professional, productive manner, with emphasis on our Quality Policy and
customer requirements as necessary.
1. Follows all established safety rules and guidelines and related safety programs
2. Reads and interprets blue prints
3. Assists with the installation of new equipment as necessary
4. Performs mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repairs on various
equipment and parts as necessary to ensure the continued production of quality
products
5. Performs electrical troubleshooting and repairs to 110 volt, 220 volt, and 480 volt
equipment including pumps, motors, panel boxes, and PLCs
6. Performs various welding operations including, but not limited to, the use of arc, mig,
and tig welding equipment; and flame cutting and acetylene torch use
7. Installs and/or repairs plumbing as needed
8. Repair process controls
9. Performs preventive maintenance tasks from assigned list
10. Conscientiously looks for, maintains, and suggests ways to improve general shop floor housekeeping
11. Maintain accurate job records and accounts for all materials and work performed

to co-workers and supervisors

5. Able to assist with and/or oversee work performed by outside contractors
6. Performs mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repairs on various equipment and parts as necessary to ensure the continued production of quality products
7. Installs and/or repairs plumbing as needed
8. Performs electrical troubleshooting and repairs to 110 volt, 220 volt, and 480 volt equipment including pumps, motors, panel boxes, and PLCs
9. Performs various welding operations including, but not limited to, the use of arc, mig, and tig welding equipment; and flame cutting and acetylene torch use

11. Evaluates, Identifies, and performs preventive maintenance tasks independently and/or from the established list and maintains records and/or creates work instructions
